Website Makeover with Saffron Avenue

*This post partnership with Saffron Avenue

Hey everyone. I’m so excited about today’s post. Grab a hot tea or a coffee, get your notepad out and get ready to dive into some inter-web elevation with me today. As you can see, my website looks a little different than it did a year and a half ago. That’s all thanks to the brilliant Angela over at Saffron Avenue. Angela designed my current website template, Willow.

Okay, but before we get into that, let’s back up a little. As you all know, I switched from my previous blog platform to ShowIt. If you don’t know what ShowIt is, I’ll save that for another post, but I HIGHLY recommend the switch. I switched to ShowIt because I came across Saffron Avenue’s gorgeous templates and knew that whatever platform it was on, I needed to be on it. Little did I know, the leveling up I was about to do was game-changing.

As you can see above, the Willow Template comes as a stunning unit all around. However, I wanted to really make it my own, and Angela’s amazing guidance and instructions allowed me to really do that.

I was able to personalize using my preferred colors and branding. I mean the number of messages that I received when I made the switch was amazing. ShowIt is a fairly easy platform to use once you get the hang of it. What I always tell people about it is that you could basically drop anything anywhere and make it do whatever you want on your site. The flexibility alone is worth using the platform.

What is really the cherry on top for me is having the option to choose templates like the ones you find on Saffron Avenue. So let’s talk a little bit more about choosing the right template from Angela’s Shop. I’ll add a quick note here since I know y’all will ask:

To be fully transparent, you can choose from a plethora of templates on ShowIt, but in my experience (I purchased one that so did not work out for me) Saffron Avenue Templates are the absolute best.

And I’m not just saying that because of this partnership. In fact, I reached out to Angela and pitched myself for this new venture. Her shop is just that good.

Whether you’re a blogger, photographer, personal brand or just an internet presence, your website says everything about you. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve quickly exited a website because I was not feeling it. Let’s be honest, on the internet, looks are often everything. So when choosing a template, it’s important to make sure that it serves all of your web needs. Here are some reasons why Saffron Avenue templates work for everyone:

  1. They’re customizable. Like FULLY customizable.
  2. Angela provides the ULTIMATE GUIDE. Like if you’ve ever gotten a cute “How To” document with a digital purchase or a visual guide, you know how helpful those things can be. Well, Angela gives you that, but on steroids. Through video guides, super time appropriate responses, and excellent service, installing and customizing your template comes super easy.
  3. The templates are timeless. That means that if you decide to switch out your colors and branding, you can still keep the same setup and just change the things you want to.

Now I’ve been helping design websites on platforms like WordPress and Squarespace for a while. What I always share with my clients is that customer service is EVERYTHING. What happens when your WordPress plugins aren’t compatible with your theme and then everything breaks? What happens when you get tired of your template and you have to start ALL OVER without being able to make small changes? Usually, you give up and things stay the same. Not today, y’all.

I guess this is a good time to bring in my next web adventure. Angela and I have partnered to showcase her most recent template, Le Jardin.

When I saw Jardin I nearly dropped my laptop. It’s exactly what I didn’t know I needed to take my brand to where I want it to be in 2020. Brilliant, gorgeous, stunning, clean, and most importantly, easy on the eyes. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the Willow Template, but this one has my name all over it.

So for the next couple of weeks (I like to take my time and I also run a business full time), I’ll be taking you on this journey with me while I switch from the Willow Template to the Jardin template. I’ll create a highlight in my stories where I document the process, and I’ll even ask y’all to send in some questions so that Angela and I can answer them together.

In the meantime, if you’re curious about Saffron Avenue Templates, you can check out the Free Page Demo for yourself. *Note that you’ll need a ShowIt account to do use the Free Page Demo.

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Stay safe.
