Tuft & Needle Mattress Review
It’s been about a month since we’ve been sleeping on our Tuft & Needle mattress and so I figured that’s long enough to have an honest option about it. Mattresses are not the easiest thing to buy. Which is crazy considering there are so many mattress companies that make it affordable and ‘easy’ for you to purchase one. For me, all of that information is overwhelming and it’s important to have an opinion you can trust.
I confidently write this after falling asleep on our old mattress two nights ago, which now temporarily lives in the guest bedroom. I believe my exact words to Chase (my fiancé) were, “HOW DID WE EVER SLEEP ON THIS TRASH BAG MATTRESS?!” Because if we’re honest, the Tuft & Needle mattress is a game changer.Although this is a partnership, note that the brand did not ask for a blog post. I decided to write one because, before our partnership with Tuft & Needle, we did a lot of mattress shopping. Most of the stuff out there felt the same for me. Nothing crazy or life-altering. I also didn’t know much about buying a mattress. I literally slept on the same one for like 20 years. That’s an exaggeration but it’s probably true.
I thought I liked firm, concrete-like mattresses. I knew hotel beds were a dream but I didn’t know they were obtainable to the average person. This hotel-like fluff is incredible. We’ve slept the best we’ve slept in a really long time. Personally, I didn’t even know our old mattress was affecting my back until my back felt fantastic and then didn’t again after sleeping on the old mattress. I’m like “wait... I’m not supposed to feel like that all the time?”It’s a dream. Literally. I can rave and rant for forever, but just know I give it five stars. 6, if that was a thing. Let’s get to the good stuff.
PRICING
The Tuft and Needle mattresses are super affordable. You’ll see less expensive ones online, however, do you really want to go the cheap route for something you’ll spend a lot of time on? We have a King Original Mattress which starts at $750. We’re already looking into a Full for the guest bedroom which is $495.
T&N also has a Mint Mattress which has enhanced T&N Adaptive® foam. It’s about 2 inches thicker and has 30% more cooling gel beads. It’s a bit higher in price, but if you’re looking for something a bit extra, that’s the way to go.
THE TRIAL
Like most modern mattress companies, T&N gives you a 100-night trial. That means you can sleep on your mattress for 100 whole nights and see if it’s a good fit or not. I personally didn’t feel like I needed that long to feel the difference. Like there was a literal shift in our bodies and our sleep when we laid down on that thing.
ADD’l ITEMS
If you’re wanting to get all of your necessities in one place, they also offer bedding. They’ve got sheets, duvets, and mattress accessories. They’ve also got some sweet yet simple bed frames.
PHILANTHROPY
This is my favorite part and what I look for when working with any brand. Tuft and Needle have a school fundraising program that has no benefitted over 200 schools. They also have an incredible return policy. Through that policy, direct donations and the fundraising program, T&N has donated more than 8 million dollars in mattresses back to the community.
Their employees are also amazing. They’ve logged over 1,000 donated hours. Taking the time to set up beds, clean bedding, meals and even build housing.
LOCAL
One of the things I really want to try and do this year is shop and partner with local brands. Tuft and Needle are literally just 10 minutes up the road from us.
They are also designed and crafted in the U.S. Their fabric comes from a 90-year-old, family-owned business in the Carolinas. Their foam is poured and cut here in the U.S and their mattress are all finished in Southern California.

I can’t recommend this mattress enough. Again, although this was a partnership, we will be looking into grabbing one for our guest bedroom. Also PILLOWS. If the pillows feel as good as this mattress, consider this my last blog post. I’m never getting out of bed.
